This morning, around 7:00 a.m., graffiti was found on the German Consulate at the 6200 block of Wilshire Boulevard. Spray-painted across the front:
“Germany starves babies in Gaza.”
LAPD responded quickly to the vandalism call. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled.
Let’s be clear, this wasn’t protest. This was vandalism fueled by antisemitic propaganda. It’s part of a growing trend in Los Angeles: aggressive rhetoric, public defacement, and targeted intimidation tied to anti-Israel narratives. And too often, it escalates.
Shmira is tracking incidents like these across the city. It’s not isolated. It’s coordinated, emboldened, and dangerous.
We call on city officials, law enforcement, and our neighbors to recognize this for what it is: hate in plain sight.
We will not be silent.
We will not let public spaces become platforms for lies and incitement.
And we are watching.
