Shmira has recently seen a significant uptick in reports of car break-ins across local neighborhoods, prompting a renewed call to action for the community. Their volunteers have been working around the clock to respond to incidents and suspicious activity, often arriving at the scene before police.
Shmira is reminding the community of two critical safety tips:
Do not leave valuables in your vehicle, especially overnight—even items that seem insignificant can attract thieves.
If you see something, say something. Call Shmira’s 24/7 hotline immediately if you notice suspicious behavior in your area.
As always, Shmira’s presence is only as strong as the community’s participation. Staying alert, reporting concerns promptly, and taking basic precautions go a long way in keeping our neighborhoods safe.
The LA Jewish Home is monitoring the situation. If you were a witness or have additional information, feel free to reach out to editor@thelajewishhome.com
