In the wake of the tragic shooting at Bondi Beach this week during a Hanukkah candle-lighting celebration, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF) is reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the Jewish spirit for diaspora communities.

Through a heartwarming initiative led by KKL-JNF's Diaspora Zionist Identity Empowerment Department, 400 Hanukkah themed bundles are being delivered to Jewish communities around the world. Each bundle is filled with menorahs, dreidels, Hannukah decorations, a giant festive dreidel, and more, bringing the holiday directly to the tables and celebrations of the Jewish communities abroad.

With the understanding that in many places, it can be difficult to find items that truly capture the spirit of Hanukkah, especially in light of the past week, these bundles ensure that every candle lighting outside of Israel feels festive and meaningful.

Photos arriving from communities worldwide tell a beautiful story: KKL-JNF’s Hanukkah items are decorating halls, lighting up smiles, and spreading the spirit of Hanukkah. They celebrate Jewish strength and resilience, showing that even across continents, the holiday brings people together in joy and unity.

Sar Shalom-Gerbi, Manager of KKL-JNF's Education and Community Division: "This initiative brings hope and joy to Jewish communities everywhere. At a time when Jewish communities abroad face antisemitic attacks and threats while practicing their faith and celebrating festive holidays, it is crucial to empower them and support their connection to Israel and Jewish traditions. KKL-JNF is committed to strengthening diaspora communities through our shared heritage, the resilience of the Jewish people, and a sense of connection even across great distances."
