SimXa Company is gearing up for its 25th “silver anniversary” annual Shabbaton

Taking place at the Marina Del Rey Hotel in California over the Thanksgiving weekend, November 27^th- 30^th.

Esther Davidoff, who heads SimXa Company together with her husband, Moshe, says, “It’s hard to believe that it has been 25 years since our very first Annual SimXa Shabbaton, with all of 63 participants. Our Simxa Family has experienced tremendous growth over the years, and there have been hundreds of families participating in our programs. We started in 2001 with lectures for the Russian Jewish community and have since expanded to include participants of many Jewish cultures, both Sefardi and Ashkenazi, Israeli, Eastern European, Persian, and, of course, American. Our participants have come to join our events from several different countries and states.”

She adds, “We have been privileged and blessed by Hashem to host many accomplished and world-renowned inspirational speakers, lecturers, and entertainers at our annual programs. We have also been blessed with an amazing staff of assistants, helpers, and volunteers, such as our SimXa Kids’ Club children’s counselors and head staff, our events’ shul gabbai, our caterers and mashgiach, and many more wonderful, hardworking community members.”

For many regular participants, the Shabbaton has become an annual opportunity to recharge, physically and spiritually. Some even choose to celebrate their simchos at the Shabbaton. So far, the Shabbaton has hosted 3 weddings, 5 Bar Mitzvas, 6 Bas Mitzvas, countless birthdays and anniversaries, and many more personal and community milestones.

This year, the Shabbaton’s speakers include Rabbi Aryeh Katzin, Director of RAJE (Russian American Jewish Experience), Rabbi Reuven Wolf of Maayon Yisrael Chassidic Center, and Miriam Yerushalmi, the author of many children’s and adult books, speaker, counselor, and family therapist.

As always, the SimXa Shabbaton will feature exciting children’s programs, delicious catered meals, wine tasting, Live Kleizmer Music Concert with world-renowned Leo Chelyapov, and concerts for women by Katya Kapelnikova, a poet, songwriter, and popular inspirational performer for women.
