We've witnessed the profound relevance and vital role Torah plays in fostering shalom bayit- peace in our homes.
So why do some hesitate to embrace it?
The answer lies in fear:
Many worry that Torah might restrict their habits, like watching TV, or demand new routines, such as rising early for prayer.
Change can feel daunting.
Yet, teshuva, or repentance, isn’t a shift, but a return. Appearing eight times in ten verses in Nitzavim, teshuva, meaning "returning," also signifies "answering", a response to a call.
It’s a journey back to a familiar place, like the open conversations with God you enjoyed as a child, which may have faded with age.
May our sincere teshuva efforts guide us back home, restoring that peace for our shalom bayit.
