Never Again

"Never again" have we been accustomed to say.
For never again do we all wish and pray.
Never should they humiliate us,
Never should we be oppressed,
Never to be led as a herd who is suppressed.
We chant this slogan since World War Two,
We chant it as a nation,
We chant it as Jews.
But again, it comes to us step by step.
The level of hatred escalates.
What is this cycle that keeps on rolling?
How comes this curse overflowing?
We are smarter, stronger, and more modern, yet still can’t change the pattern?
So what’s the source for the nations' dislike and disapproval of our existence?
Why are we always under resistance?
Maybe we should stop trying to find favor in their eyes and prove that we are the same.
Maybe this behavior brings upon us the shame.
The more we try to assimilate, the more they increase the hate.
Our nation's DNA is different and unique. We are as an expensive antique.
We should not feel as it is discrimination
the opposite that’s what keeps us from elimination.
We were commanded to be isolated and be holy.
We are a nation that is solely.
This is our secret; this is our strength.
Our mesora is our wealth.
When we forget our own nation's roots and sources,
We activate evil forces.
When will we understand this equation?
When will we be proud of our nation?
If we don’t understand this critical lesson and miss the train,
Please Hashem don’t let it happen again.
