What a joy it was to see the children happily coming to shul! We explored stories from Parashas Toldos. We played out the parsha by having all the boys standing in one corner and the girls in another, just like Yitzchak and Rivka. During snack time, each child received a bowl of Cheerios, and together we pretended to make lentil soup. The room was alive with laughter, curiosity, and excitement!

In the boys’ group, Yehuda Neydavud shared a D’var Torah. He spoke clearly and thoughtfully, and everyone enjoyed listening. A big thank you to Rabbi Brull for joining us—it made the moment even more meaningful.

The girls’ group had so much fun playing, laughing, and spending time together. Their joy truly filled the room, making it a warm and happy space for all.

A Sweet Moment

Looking at pictures from the Parasha, we asked what Yitzchak and Rivka were davening for. Little Ezra Yosef Golerkansky quickly said, “A baby!” His sweet sister, Sara Batya Sadie added more details: Yaakov went to school to study the Alef-Bais, but Esav didn’t want to. It was so heartwarming to see the little children participating with such excitement, sharing their thoughts, and making the group so lively and full of joy.

On Sunday, children from the shul and the wider community joined us for a fun and creative Chanukah workshop. The kids had an amazing time making colorful menorahs, each one full of their own imagination and Chanukah spirit.

They also enjoyed a hands-on tile-art activity with Chanukah symbols, where they could get messy, play, and create keepsakes to take home.
